javawebserver rendering

SimplyPages

SimplyPages is a Java-first server-side rendering framework for building web pages without a client-heavy frontend. It provides components and fluent APIs for composing HTML in Java, along with templates, slots, and render contexts for dynamic data.

Pages can be built once and served as static HTML, or rendered with request-specific data. The framework supports HTMX-friendly fragment updates and includes components and patterns for editable content, forums, chat, dashboards, and forms. Applications remain responsible for concerns such as authentication, persistence, and transport.

Its Markdown directory helper builds content sections and routes from files with optional frontmatter. The application owns routing, caching, and the refresh lifecycle; the helper does not watch files or schedule refreshes.

SimplyPages targets Java 25. The project describes its current release as a controlled beta, with a Java 25 and local Chromium desktop/mobile-viewport support baseline.
